ION Las Vegas | Kerri Walsh Jennings’ event series, p1440, which features a professional beach volleyball tournament, live music, a health & wellness village and development experiences, is partnering for the first time with the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the international governing body of volleyball, to host a 4-star, double gender FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event in Las Vegas on Wed., Oct. 17 through Sun., Oct. 21. The FIVB Las Vegas Open presented by p1440 marks the first time Las Vegas will be a stop on the international circuit, giving athletes the chance to accumulate Olympic ranking points for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Games. The collaboration between p1440 and the FIVB will elevate the sport of beach volleyball on a global scale and provide optimal opportunities for athletes from all around the world to compete.

The men’s and women’s qualifiers will be held on Wed., Oct. 17 and the 32-team main draw for both genders will start on Thurs., Oct. 18, with the men’s and women’s finals taking place on Sun., Oct. 21. The prize purse for the FIVB Las Vegas Open presented by p1440 is $300,000. The prize purse will be split between the men’s and women’s professional beach volleyball main draw tournament players—with each respective prize purse totaling $150,000.

In addition to watching the best athletes from around the world compete, the FIVB Las Vegas Open presented by p1440 will feature immersive experiences starting on the Friday of the event that carry throughout the whole weekend. Attendees will get to enjoy live music performances by chart-topping acts; a development village featuring high-intensity interval workouts and volleyball training; and a health & wellness village with daily yoga sessions, live cooking demos, tips from health experts, samples from wellness vendors and more. The family-friendly event will also cater to children with its dedicated “Kid’s Court” that includes kid-friendly activities, short workouts and challenges as well as educational discussions on training youth.
Complimentary admission will be provided on Wed, Oct. 17 and Thurs., Oct. 18. Paid admission will start on Fri, Oct. 19 through Sun, Oct. 21 and will grant attendees access to the live music performances, health & wellness village and personal development experiences.
